The North East North Cumbria (NENC) SPF was set up by employers, trade unions and NHS Employers' North engagement team.
Priorities for 2023/24
- We will focus on establishing the role of the NHS as an anchor organisation and improving health inequalities.
- Staff health and wellbeing.
- Supporting and influencing the development of the NENC integrated care system and provider collaborative.
Achievements for 2022/23
- We committed to exploring the implementation of the real living wage across health and social care organisations in the region.
- We committed to exploring a regional absence policy with NHS England’s growing occupational health programme. The aim is to establish consistent standards and approaches across the region and suggest ways to better support staff.
