Case studies

This area of the website outlines the benefits of partnership working, particularly significant for the NHS and supports these with evidence from over 30 case studies.

Introduction

The SPF is committed to working in partnership nationally and believes that partnership working between employers and trade unions is crucial to delivering priorities across the NHS.

Our work over the past three years to support NHS organisations to use partnership in delivering their current priorities continues.  We are now turning our focus to ensuring that the progress made in social partnership working in the NHS continues to develop.  We will be working with the NHS over the coming months and years to explore new models for partnership working under the proposed future structure in the NHS.

Benefits

The benefits of working in social partnership are many and wide-reaching.  Chief executives, managers and staff representatives who have embraced partnership approaches believe the business case for partnership is unanswerable.  With partnership, all parts of an organisation can come together to meet challenges, and pull together to meet agreed goals.
