Will my new employer be required to have policies on such matters as equality and diversity, health, well-being and safety, work-life balance and flexible working, discipline and grievance, and recruitment and promotion?
Yes under the terms of the commercial contract and the NHS Constitution, providers of NHS services are obliged to follow good employment practice.
Will HR policies form part of my contract of employment?
A. There is no general assumption or requirement that they do but your contract of employment should make this clear. Your legal rights are unaffected.
