Jan Sobieraj, Managing Director, NHS & Social Care Workforce, spoke about the DH transition process and added that although some functions would transfer out of the Department, there would remain a strong presence in SPF to engage on workforce issues.
Other issues discussed included the HR Transition Partnership Event held on 5 December 2011 and the 'Partnership under Pressure' session at the NHS Employers’ Conference in November.
Colleagues received updates on the staff flu vaccination campaign, the QIPP-Right Care Workstream, the Atlas of Variation and NHS health and well-being. Tom Wilson, director of Unionlearn spoke about the TUCs Unionlearn programme.
The Minister closed by thanking everyone for their good work over the past year and wished everyone a good Christmas and New Year.
