The Social Partnership Forum worked on a number of issues to ensure that NHS staff were in the best position to deal with the swine flu pandemic in 2010. We ensured that key messages around immunisation for staff were promoted through this website and stressed the need for local partnership working to agree ways to encourage staff to get vaccinated.
Tackling healthcare and associated infections (HCAIs) is a top priority for all NHS organisations but to do so effectively they need to look at their workforce policies and practices. The SPF worked in partnership with key stakeholders to discuss how human resources can impact on HCAIs and put together a guidance document highlighting good practice.
The Social Partnership Forum supports the campaign to encourage people to join the Organ Donor Register and is encouraging both employers and trade unions to publicise the register.
