Scope of the work
The Social Partnership Forum set up a sub-group in November 2008 to look at the recommendations made in the IPA Review of the Social Partnership Forum, in relation to embedding social partnership working in the NHS.
The aim of the group is to embed partnership working in the NHS through:
- demonstrating the benefits of social partnership working and why it is a key tool for delivering improved staff satisfaction and patient services in the NHS
- stimulating debate and raising awareness of social partnership working in the NHS
- supporting the NHS to instigate or improve social partnership working in their own organisations
- providing practical support to the NHS to embed social partnership working in their own organisations
- producing the evidence base for social partnership working
- demonstrating that partnership working supports the pledges in the NHS Constitution
Progress
The group has prioritised a number of areas for action including:
- the development of this web site to provide support for the NHS in embedding partnership working
- working in partnership to develop the criteria and process for the partnership fund
- beginning to develop the evidence base for partnership working in the NHS
- sharing learning from NHS trusts working in partnership.
The group will continue to progress and build on the activities listed above and will share a longer term schedule of work shortly.
